'Modern en comfortabel hotel met goed restaurant. Vriendelijke medewerkers. '

'We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there'

'Staff were excellent. The food was excellent. Everywhere was spotless. The 4 bedrooms are up 3 flights of stairs but the staff we extremely helpful. An enjoyable experience. The pub is quirky.'

'On the whole there wasn't anything that we didn't like about our stay. We had a superior room which was very spacious. We couldn't fault the cleanliness of the room, bar/lounge area or the restaurant. The breakfast and dinner menus were v.good. Staff were pleasant and helpful. These are my honest accounts. My only regret is that we did not find the time to use the pool or sauna. However they do serve a lovely pale ale at the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.'

'Diner was good, but quite pricy compared with the small portions that we got. '

'Friendly staff, large rooms, great choice at breakfast all freshly cooked. Will visit again!'

'Value for money. Hotel is older but clean. Good location in center of Kendal. Good full English breakfast.'

'The bathroom floor was leaking brown water and the staff refused to apologise for it'

'The room was lovely and clean. Super comfy bed and I really loved the dine-in kit. The hot tub was a great addition, very clean and easy to use. Had great communication with the team. Thank you !'

'Klein kamertje met piepkleine badkamer, slechte bedden en dat voor 120,00 per nacht. Het ontbijt en ligging was oke gelukkig'

'The chalets are located around a lake with ducks and swans. Nice house with 2 bedrooms, a good sofabed, two badrooms and a complete kitchen. Very helpful reception. Sorry that we only booked one night. We will return!'

'The staff were fantastic and despite being warned about building work we needn’t have worried. The food was good both for dinner and breakfast. The spa was especially nice. We were warned it would get busy by the very helpful member of staff but even when busy it was ok. We had a really lovely little break with great views of the lake. All in all worth every penny. Thank you for a wonderful time.'

'oud verblijf, netjes en compleet ingericht, vriendelijk. Geen hoogvlieger maar een goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Geselecteerd op parkeermogelijkheid....dus niet. Langs de weg in het dorp of op een betaalde parkeerplaats uit het zicht. '

'prima verzorgd, fiets werd netjes opgeborgen. eten goed'

'Nice, Big Room! Beautiful Decorated House. Helpful and Friendly staff.'
