'Everything about this place is fantastic. You are pampered from day one. I loved the personal attention at breakfast and happy hour. It's convenient to everything, including the beach within 10 minutes walking. I loved my stay here and will definitely return.'

'Unit was located at a busy street with many loud motorcycles as choppers and cars with extreme loud engines, as seems to be the culture in southern California. My sleep was interrupted many times because of this. At my request to relocate I only got an answer 4 days (and difficult nights) later. In the new unit the TV malfunctioned, the remote could only be used for changing the channel and not volume or even de-activate the TV. You had to do this with a button on the TV. TV itself did not work...

'Everything was above and beyond! The breakfast, the cleanliness, the service, the staff! The only thing was not convenient was the parking (no parking just valet parking which was 65$ per night) but we didn’t need the car so it didn’t bother us much. We also loved the cafe upstairs (dive) it had very good food and drinks! The rooms were very tidy and modern styled! Also just for you to know - the windows don’t open at all. And they face the street so it is a lil noisy.'

'My a/c went out on the last night. I called twice to have them send an engineer to repair. No one came. It was 80 degrees so I had the overhead fan on overnight. When I checked out the next day, I complained to them about the hot humid room and lack of follow up about repairing it, but the front desk just said “sorry” and handed me my receipt. There was also a lot of noise from next door and room above: voices and running footsteps.'

'First visit back since the Grand Reopening after the remodels, etc. Was fantastic. Everything simply amazing.'

'Rooms are small and dark with no A/C, but very clean and completely adequate for a short stay. The location was perfect for strolling the streets, staff was very helpful, especially Raj at the front desk, and the buffet breakfast was lovely. Free parking was a plus!'

'Great location! They have a few bicycles to go to the beach. The neighbourhood has some fine restaurants. You can walk to the ferry that brings you into the Gaslamp district. Unfortunately the price for this 3 minute cross-over is priced a 8 US$ single journey. '
