'I stayed here for a couple days for a work assignment. Overall the stay was great, as others have said, the cottage has some uneven floors and the bathroom is tiny, but it did what it needed to. Very comfortable bed and offstreet parking was the key for me.'

'We drove up from Portland and although the drive wasn't long it really felt like we were out in the country. The atmosphere was relaxing and cozy. The hosts were informative, friendly and unobtrusive. I think staying 2 nights would have been even better than our 1.'

'A wonderful time. Steaks on the Weber, watching a redtail hawk divebombed by starlings, and enjoying goose politics (two couples, one of them interspecies) on the opposite shore. Avian drama in a peaceful and beautiful place.... as always. 😊'

'It was very spacious and peaceful. They supplied us with eggs from their free range chickens which was nice for breakfast. We had a party of 7 with 4 adults and 3 children and we all slept well there. It's also nice having two bathrooms with showers. '

'Had a great time! My wife and I took three of our grandkids to visit the Ape Cave, and Mt St Helens, which are both about an hour to 1.5 away. The house was great. Very comfy, and stocked with everything we needed. Castle Rock is a short 10-15 min drive, and Kelso not much further if you need a mall or movie theater. It is right on the lake, with it’s own private dock. There is a 15’ canoe for your enjoyment as well. '

'The house is large and spacious. Very well decorated. Be aware there is not a door to the very large master bathroom so you can see someone sitting on the toilet from the king bed! — a bit weird for a house that was recently remodeled and the owners clearly spent a lot of money to do so. Other than that, a great house in a gorgeous setting.'

'Our stay was focused on Salmon fishing. The home was perfect with a dock for our boat. Very beautiful location and great neighbors. The home is well appointed and provided everything we need. The owners were very easy to work with. We definitely hope to return next year! We highly recommend this home.'

'Weather kept us out of the river, but not out of the hot tub or the sauna. Loved the quiet beautiful location. Never saw so many eagles or hummingbirds. House well equipped and comfortable. Ferry to Oregon was a treat. Everything owner told us about the area helped us get around. A special holiday that will have many good memories.'
