Great place to home base for adventures in Washington and Oregon. Right off the interstate, but yet tucked away for privacy with nature all around. Frequent visits from deer and rabbits. Huge washer and dryer; well stocked kitchen; high definition TV with superb recliners / sofas. Had our aging parents with us, so the drive up car port right by the door was so nice. Highly recommend!!
We were exploring the area for ten days. We made it to Merlwn,Yale and Swift reservoirs, Astoria, Seaside and Mt Hood, Bonneville dam and fish hatchery plus three trips to Columbia Outlet in Selwood and a bunch of other shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and the BBQ. The beef, sweet corn and fresh fish are far superior to what is available here in Costa Rica. My girls were impressed an didn't want to come home. We had one fire in the fire pit. My wife idoes not grasp the campfire concept.Overall, we had a great time at the cottage. Thanks, LukeSteven E. Purcell
We didnât catch anything, but our stay was very nice. We would definitely stay again. The house was clean and the surroundings were perfect. We were 10 miles from the river we wanted to fish.
Woke up to deer and rabbits walking on the property
Beautiful, serene home with all the comforts.
Communication from host was quick and responsive when needed. We will definitely recommend this location to others. Our family enjoyed the stay.
Thank you so much!
Conveniently located on the Washington side of the Columbia River. Only 30 minutes to Vancouver/Portland area and about an hour to places like Multnomah Falls or Mt St Helens. Property is large with long driveway that circles the house. Lots of privacy. Multiple outdoor loung areas, sports field with horseshoes, fire pits and deck with BBQ/Hot tub. Mama deer visited daily with her 2 baby doeâs in tow. The kids loved making sâmores and we even saw a shooting star. Inside the 3Bedrooms & 2.5 Bath was plenty of room and kitchen had everything you need. We like to eat out so thankfully thereâs tons of great breakfast places only 10 minutes away in Longview. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Everything was ready. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked, the bedrooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms very clean. As we come from a rural area, we appreciated the quiet at night. A good choice.
The location for this property is very accessible, just down Rose Valley Road and the grounds are beautiful. We saw several deer on the property and hummingbirds at the feeders in the wrap around deck. The house was a very comfortable stay, the property manager was very easy to communicate with and I would recommend it to friends and family.
The cottage was very well equipped with anything and everything you could need except for a can opener. But we made do. Spring, summer and fall would be a perfect time to visit here to be able to use all the amenities the cottage has to offer. The cottage is great for families or adult get togethers lots of things to do outside for young and old.
Booked Lukeâs home for a fishing trip on the Columbia River based on location. Little did we know that we booked an absolute gem of a property! Private, immaculate, convenient, and beautiful are words I would use to describe! Luke is an awesome host and we will certainly book again!
We had family to visit in Longview, WA and this property was just perfect. Close to town, yet secluded in the woods. We loved the privacy and no neighbors feel.
The owner was accommodating with our requests and the personal touch let us know he cared that we enjoyed our stay. The entire family thanks you!
