'Stayed overnight on Friday after attending the festival at Bolesworth. Beautiful property and Heather the host was really lovely. Fabulous home cooked breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return x'

'The hotel staff are good especially reception and the gym but the spa which I was looking forward to it Wasn’t great You have to pay extra so my husband couldn’t use the facilities even though I had 3 treatments Which were not great the therapists are only just out of training yet they charge full price I must admit I was lucky with my facial which was excellent But the whole spa experience is not worth the money'

'We had a lovely stay. Our room was perfect for us….lovely comfy bed and a small courtyard where we had dinner delivered! We were lucky that the weather was very warm too. Our dogs were very happy and calm and safe there . I would happily recommend this room (2) for anyone travelling with dogs. Thank you Wynnstay and staff, you made our trip really comfortable.'

'The double beds were comfortable pillows awful Had to change rooms for second night twin beds not large enough moved easily Pillows equally as awful . No walk in showers which make it difficult for people not able to use bath. Was told well if it’s only for one night did it matter and it was business people using hotel Room 111 opposite housekeeping i had to complain three times from 8am-10 for noisy chatter and Five staff were outside my door laughing and joking. 'The location of the property is fantastic. The biggest disappointment was we stayed over a very hot weekend and there was no installed air-conditioning therefore a Mobile Aircon unit was brought to the room but it didn’t work and the room was absolutely sweltering all weekend. We couldn’t sleep during the heat and it spoilt our stay.'

'Amazing setting and beautiful grounds Great place for wedding celebrations However the rooms were rather small with limited facilities for the price paid. Breakfast times restricted to 8-10 , would extend to accommodate guests’needs. Also a bit disappointing you had to pay a supplement to have half of the items on the menu'

'As musicians we stay in a lot of hotels and we were delighted with our stay at The Royal Oak. The staff are friendly and efficient, the room was super with a comfy bed, large modern bathroom and spotlessly clean all around. Meals were good value and very tasty and the whole place seemed to be very well run. We'd certainly visit again and wish the Royal Oak team every success for the future.'
