Blokhutten in Cain

'WiFi was spotty, parking was great. Fan/light kept turning on and off during the night. Walls paper thin and could hear every word of the neighbors. No restaurant on site like indicated. You’ll need to make reservations if you want to eat somewhere after 8pm in town.'

'One of the friendliest welcomes we've ever had. The room was lovely and the property is very pretty. We walked into Potes for dinner which takes 30 minutes or so.'

'We stayed here one night before starting a 3-day trek in Picos de Europa. The hotel was charming, clean and comfortable, the staff was really helpful, and there was free parking across the street where we were able to leave our car during our trek. Las Arenas is a cute mountain town, and everything was easily walkable, including an excellent restaurant across the street, and a bus we took to Sotres for the start of our hike.'

'Hotel is netjes, maar gedateerd. Dat is overigens best leuk voor een of een paar nachten. Het diner was een grote teleurstelling, echt niet lekker. Wordt waarschijnlijk ‘s middags gekookt en ‘s avonds uit warmhoudbakken opgeschept. Gaarkeuken idee. Omdat er niks in de buurt is zonder de auto te moeten gebruiken, ben je tot dit eten veroordeeld. Echt heel jammer, anders zouden we het hotel zeker aanraden.'

'Het hotel is kleinschalig van opzet, met naar keuze ontbijt en diner en wordt gerund door een echtpaar, beiden prima Engels sprekend. De vrouw des huizes is jarenlang berggids geweest en kan fantastische adviezen geven voor prachtige wandelingen in de bergen. Het hotel kijkt voor uit naar de Picos, en achter naar rustieke weides (met veel koeien met klingende bellen om hun nek). Je loopt vanuit het hotel zo naar het dorpje voor een borrel of diner. Parkeren voor de deur. De kamers zijn netjes,...

'Great surroundings of Picos. Hotel quit, room is clean and spacious. You dont meet any staff thats a bot strange because before booking you dont get informed about that. The app with doorcode on the other hand works well.. '

'This is a genuine treasure. Set back a little behind the main road, it is a haven of peace and charm. There is a wonderful seating area both inside and out, Tea and coffee are available throughout the day should you need it. The rooms have beautiful views of the mountains, the place is beautifully decorated and designed. It is well placed for visits to the surrounding area which is stunning. Our advice would be to try both restaurants on the main road for the evening meal as they offer different...

'Disappointing room. Stale smell when we entered and on the 2nd night the bedclothes appeared slightly damp. Only one long pillow on bed, going all across the bed, no 2nd pillow provided. The shower divider in the bath was faulty leading to pools of water on the floor after showers. Will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.'
