Herbergen in Brownsea Island

'This is a beautifully situated old mill on a gentle stream with gorgeous grounds. Idyllic. Just outside Lymington but a short 8 minute drive into town or to the ferry. Dinner was good with excellent service. Nice room, comfy beds, good bathroom. We were there on the hottest day of the year so it was very hot in the room but a fan was provided which helped.'

'A great old hotel in the countryside. Spacious room and very clean refurbished bathroom. Nice and clean. Restaurant was value for money, and the breakfast was very good. The inhouse pub made evenings comfortable,and had free wifi. Due to lack of aircon room temperature was a bit hot (30 degrees Celsius) and fans provided could not cope with it. 'The place needs a face lift, a room over a pub that looks tired. However the staff are brilliant, so lovely and helpful. The food is good value for money, pub grub. Location is great if you want the beach. If you like a good walk, 3.5mins (1hr 15 mins) to Bournemouth Pier.'
