'Everything was perfect. Great selection of breakfast, rooms are clean and big enough, fast room service, gym was fine and people are very friendly at the reception. This hotel is my all time favorite in Almaty and would defiantly recommend this hotel with European standards. One remark, try to get a room on the back side of the building as the street side can be a little noisy for sensitive sleepers.'

'The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!...

'Excellent customer service!! Everyone at the hotel are super helpful and supportive. My mom stayed at the hotel for 8 nights, she needed assistance with ordering transportation, bringing her breakfast to the table, opening doors. She has a broken leg and is forced to use a walker. Every person at the hotel helped her with a smile. Beautiful people! Thank you! I would also like to mention the ease of booking and paying for the hotel. A lot of hotels in the area would not accept remote payments...

'Small hotel inside a building. The room is always a little noisy because of the traffic, even at night. Asked me to pay for breakfast but it was included in the reservation. '

'We loved our stay here. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and assist us. The breakfast was the most extensive buffet we have ever seen; we were shocked that there had been negative reviews. The location is great. There is a nice park across the street and it’s a short walk to many great sights. '

"Hotel is busy with renovation. We received a recently renoved room, which was really nice Only the bathroom not so big and no hangers enough for the towels. Further all was nice. Breakfast good..only not enough tables..sometimes you have to wait for a place."
