Het hotel ligt langs de A19 tussen de weilanden en ongeveer 10 minuten met de auto naar Hartlepool. Er is weinig personeel en zij hebben dan ook meerdere functies. Inchecken ging soepel. There was no welcome gift as promised by Hotels.com and there was a bit of a mix up in that although I had already paid the hotel insisted I pay again, the £300 was refunded during my stay as it was the hotels mistake.'

'Lyndsey and Mark were brilliant for our stay, so friendly and gave tips on things to do in the area . We also had a dog with us and they were very accommodating. Lovely B and B, close to amenities but far enough away for some peace and quiet. Food is also lovely, we had breakfast and tea. '

'From the first to the last minutes we had an excellent stay at 'The Lodge' in Frosterley. We thought it would have been too far to walk to the village. But it took J. approx 15 minutes back and forth. In the lodge everything was absolutely fabulous. Some predecessors were not very satisfied with the bed. But it did not bother us. Apart from the friendliness of Julie & John we particularly liked the garden/terrasses with lots of sunshine and many birds like the robins. And at night the owl! So,...

'Great base to explore the Dales, very well equipped cottage in a very quiet village within easy reach of local pubs, a cafe and superb riverside walks. With a glass of wine, the wood burner lit, and a good book, it is ideal for a restful break. Would not hesitate to return, at any time of year.'
