'The area of the hotel was very sketchy. The hotel is going through a giant remodel so all the outside doors were not locked and anyone could get in. The room was clean and I am glad it didn't smell bad in the room like it did outside. I really don't know how this hotel had such great ratings. Maybe it will be better once all the rooms are fixed up.'

'The Fontaine is in our rotation when traveling to KC. It continues to be very suitable for its location, cleanliness, comfort and value. Are the rooms in need of updating? maybe, but not to extent of calling them tired. We love visiting the bar on the 7th floor off the pool deck, though pool was not open for the season yet on this stay. Some of the best happy hour drinks you'll find anywhere! On matter of bathroom towel racks, none except one in the shower, not sure why there aren't any on...

'Our room was not cleaned after our first night stay, even though we put a sign on the door to clean the room. The hotel was near the airport and approx. 14 miles from KC central city; however, the hotel charged $7 a day to park our car (over kill). The towels were rough, and the shower was not clean after first night stay. Would not recommend!'

'The price for this hotel was great. The interior of the hotel was completely renovated and it looked great. All new furniture and bathrooms. The bed was pretty comfy and slept great. The AC's worked almost too good. The restaurant was okay but they need to do little bit more for the breakfast. Buffets are good but getting a little old. I will say that they need to fix their elevators, maintenance can go a long way to keeping people from panicking about riding them. BUT I look at a hotels...
