'To begin with, Alyssa did a fantastic job of checking us in. Although it was her first solo night at the desk, she was fast and pleasant. The hotel is older, but everything was clean and inviting. The mattresses were firm, and the most comfortable that I’ve ever experienced in a hotel setting. The water pressure in the shower was great and there was an ample supply of towels. 'Stayed at the Light Horse Inn for two nights. Absolutely loved it. You have to manage expectations because this isn't an ultra modern hotel with a restaurant, bar workout facilities, etc. However if you love history, antiques and the charm of a very unique stay, Light Horse Inn is for you. We were surprised to be on th side of a mountain but our four wheel drive was handy plus 15 minute drive into Harpers Ferry was nice so it was quiet and peaceful. Lots of deer to watch!!
