'Staying at a property comes down to what you are in town for (Mammoth Cave) and how much you want to spend to be there. For us it was just over $110 for 2 nights and it's much better than a $55 a night hotel should be. There are no frills, no breakfast, and not even an exhaust fan in the bathroom but... if you want to be in town and not spend much I don't think you will find a better deal.'

'The Horse Cave Motel was a pleasant surprise. A standard older style motel in a small town that felt alot like home. I grew up in a small town, so it was fun to revisit an older style, well maintained motel. The owners were very friendly, helpful and visibly worked very hard daily to clean and maintain the property. Very helpful and definitely a family affair! 'I pulled up to the facility and it was a horrible sight. Run down, dark and tattered, horrible. Office was closed after I had recently confirmed our check in arrival. Then a scary man came next to my car on his bike and stared at my kids and I until we pulled off and went to find immediate alternatives for our trip. '
