Het interieur is verouderd en de keuken is minimalistisch voorzien van spullen (precies 5 messen, vorken, enz is erg beperkt). 'Despite an excellent location just next to the entrance to the cathedral, this hotel is another of those run-down, bleak firetraps from way back in the last century. You know it's old as soon as you climb the narrow stairs to the tiny reception area and notice the grimy carpet and chipped woodwork. Getting to your room involves climbing meandering stairs that go one way, up another short flight of stairs, and then still in another direction. (There is no lift.) Breakfast is good and the rooms are classical English style well equiped (fridge for cooling your drinks and have a drink/aperative in the hotel room). If you go to Canterbury go here'

'The family room was lovely and well equipped for 2 adults and 2 children. A couple of niggles in that the blind was broken in the bathroom and the rubbish bins were a bit on the small side. Staff were really lovely and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we had 1 meal there which was great. Lovely setting next to the river. Would highly recommend'
