'We found this place because we wanted to go to Yosemite. But the village itself and the area have a lot to offer as well, since Mark Twain used to reside here. Murphys is a really nice town with a lot of wine tasting just under 10miles away. We ended up staying 3 nights (instead of 1). To Yosemite its just under 2 hours. The hotel is a bit old but has all the appliances. No breakfast but a grocerystore down the road.'

'When we showed up there was a for sale sign on the sign at the entrance and nobody in the office. I had to call a phone number that was on the door to check in. They had to open our door remotely which I felt was not safe. We had an upstairs room, where we had to climb up unsafe stairs with metal plates in two spots to support the broken slats you walked on. The railing going up the stairs was wobbly and made us feel uncomfortable. Both my wife and I are in our mid 70’s and had a hard time with...

'Cool experience, very nice host very welcoming. There was no service on phones and no WiFi. We didn’t realize until we went to shower in the morning there was no hot water. We made do and boiled water to rinse off. It was cool having livestock just roaming the property they were so friendly got to pet all the animals. It’s very quiet and relaxing.'
