Cottages in Bar Harbor

'Hot water was a bit slow to get. It’d take about 5 minutes for the hot water to even start when using the shower. Other than that, this property was very nice. Cute little cottages with everything you’d need for a hiking vacation. The owner was very responsive and nice. Great amenities on the property too which you don’t see in many other places. Will certainly book here again in the future if we return to Acadia. '

'Great little cottage, perfect for a couple couple to stay and hike and explore Acadia and MDI. Everything was as advertised, WiFi was a tad spotty but was a great experience overall!'

'The home was perfect for myself, husband and adult son. This home has a large kitchen and the most well stocked rental I have ever stayed at. The living room had plenty of comfortable furniture for all of us to relax on. Beds were comfortable and the entire rental was clean. Super close to the national park, less than 10 minutes. We had a wonderful stay and would stay here again if we travel back to Bar Harbor Maine.'

'The property owner was wonderful providing info and help as needed. The kitchen was well equipped for those who like to prepare meals. Staying on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island was good for us. We had easy access to Acadia National Park and could drop into the busyness of Bar Harbor when we wanted that experience.'

'I absolutely love staying here! A beautiful view, so peaceful with the lake every morning. It was a save for me with the microwave and stove so I can cook dinner for myself since I didn’t want to rely on the fire for food. A dream solo vacation with just me a dog. Highly recommend!'

'We had a great time at Idle Hour. The views of the water are amazing. The tides come right up to the house. We saw plenty of birds and even a seal. The house is very clean and well-provisioned. It's a perfect place to get away after spending the day on MDI. We would definitely stay here again.'

'I was very pleased with this vacation rental. The location is great. It is tucked away in the woodlands, but it is only a short drive away from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. It is cozy and comfortable, especially after a long day of hiking in the surrounding area. I enjoyed sitting outside and soaking up the late afternoon sun on the outdoor patio. The owners are very friendly and easy to contact. As advertised, there are no cooking amenities, but there are plenty of great eating...
