Blokhutten in Bakersville

'This was just what my wife and I needed, the house was nice and clean and the property was secluded. We had a family of deer walk through in the morning. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent this place again. Zac and very easy to talk to and responded very quickly.'

'The house is absolutely one of my very favorite places in NC. I stayed a week for the third or fourth time with two sister. the house is perfectly designed and maintained .The view is incredible. The house is missing absolutely nothing. The beds and sheets are amazing. If I could live there full time I would!'

'Conley House has been a fantastic secluded retreat on many occasions, and this time was just as quiet and beautiful as ever!'

'We had a wonderful getaway at Doug’s way! The house had everything we needed for a full week stay. Conveniently located and the views can’t be beat. I would 100% recommend this home and will look forward to planning a return trip one day!'

'This place was amazing! Very grateful that I found it. I ordinally booked for the unique building but the experiences are what made it so special. I will definitely go back again. The Zen Dome is a really fun design, built to be a special experience with details like crystals attached to the outside. It has all the comforts that I expected from a glamping experience, but it had a full camping (connecting to nature) experience that you do not normally get in glamping. Rather then being...

'Everything was clean and ready for us. Was a cold week but still nice and warm with the gas logs. Kitchen was supplied with utensils and cooking equipment. Enjoyed our stay. We will be back. '

'Nice'

'Wonderful place for a weekend trip.'

'Great time with family and dogs! River access and tubes and kayaks were great no need to leave the property for adventures plenty to do. '

'The property is located in Springmaid Mountain. Cell service is very spotty, and you cannot be guaranteed a signal. This made it difficult to access Vrbo for check-in instructions. There was an email with access to a website where you could click on a Check-in button where you would think would give you a code. But since we were not given the key code in advance there were a few minutes of confusion and stress as the property office was closed. Once we were able to get a phone signal we...

'A cozy cabin in a beautiful area. It was clean, comfortable, and suited our family well. I was glad to be able to use the kitchen that was nicely stocked with the basics, including stainless steel pots and utensils (we try to avoid plastic and Teflon), so that was a pleasant surprise! The kids enjoyed the adjacent campground's arcade room (about a five minute drive or 20 minute walk) from the cabin. Overall, a pleasant stay!'

'Great view, plenty of room to walk the dogs, had everything we could expect from our cabin experience'

'My adult daughter and I were in the mountains for a family wedding, and loved staying 2 nights at this quiet, country smokehouse-turned-cabin. The living room/art studio has huge windows looking out over a large pond full of water lilies. A peacock and several peahens enjoyed the sunny side porch in the mornings. Another room is full of vintage collectibles and antiques. The bathroom is small and basic, but the kitchenette features a fine Home Comfort oven plus microwave, refrigerator and...

'We were unable to enjoy any of the amenities other than watch the horses graze, the river run and hear a turkey gobble because we were there for a funeral and most of our time was away from the property. We still enjoyed our stay. Thank you!'

'This cabin was wonderful. We will come back for sure.'

'Perfect location for our visit in Spruce Pine!'

'Everything was perfect! You absolutely need 4 wheel drive to get up the hill. Im not sure if I overlooked that part or just didn't see but I believe we were at the top of the mountain. The trees to the left blocked the view but overall I absolutely loved the house. It was equipped with everything that you would need. I would definitely stay again. We got there early because I wasn't sure exactly where I was driving but the lady that was cleaning was amazing and extremely nice. She also...

'Nice place. Nice location. Clean and spacious. Met our needs quite well.'

'We had a great time on our girls weekend trip to Banner Elk. The cabin was spacious, welcoming and clean. Unfortunately we did have issues with the hot tub. The control panel was not functioning so no jets. We notified the host who was quick to respond and have maintenance get it working but with it being the weekend everyone was off. It didn’t ruin our trip we still had a great time. We will definitely be back '
