'The place is on Elephantine island, you can only get there by ferry. The cost is minimal around $ .70 for a one way. The island is way quieter than the mainland. Make sure you are expected upon arrival, signage is limited.'

'Great hospitality, we were really charmed by that. Be aware that you'll live there like a "Nubian" so there is no wifi and just a sober room. But actually in this setting it feels just right. Verry quiet out there, beautifull view, and a nice village. '

'Beautiful location with easy access to the ferry terminal. We were met by Gamal and brought across to the island on his boat. From the moment we met him Gamal went out of his way to ensure that we had everything we needed and more. We learnt much from him about the Nubian culture and people and we have great respect for him. We would lovee to return again.
