An ancient temple built in 1264BC, and was relocated to its current location by #UNESCO in 1964 to save it from the rising water of the Niles. The project took 4 years and USD $40 million to complete by cutting the temple into more than 3000 blocks (up to 30 tons each), and dismantled, lifted and reassembled in a new location 65m higher and 200m back from the River Nile. This is described as one of the greatest challenges and accomplishments of archaeological engineering. #LifeAtExpedia #ManMadeMiracles
