'The room was excellent and the staff were all lovely. We had dinner the first evening but somehow our order got 'lost' and we waited an hour for the food from ordering. Meanwhile, meals were being brought out for diners around us. No one seemed to notice that we were waiting and waiting..... However, the staff were very apologetic, the food was delicious (when it finally arrived) and we were not charged for it in the end. Overall, a great place to stay- and eat- and we would recommend.'

'The room was big enough for two days, but for a longer stay it was to small'

'The overall, feeling of a very nice place to stay, food ambience staff, where it is. Once you realise the sat nav wants to take you down a road that’s going to be closed for a year ,a drive all the way round the barracks and plenty parking . We would go back k if in the area again'

'Great location, friendly helpful staff, comfortable beds, lightweight but warm duvet. Excellent. Nice food.'

'Okay for a short stay. Little bit of tlc was needed throughout, otherwise all ok'

'A nice travellers rest inn, we had a very spacious ground floor room with an equally spacious ensuite, the room was a little noisy early evening, but was generally quiet overnight. Well located in the centre of Bakewell close to all the town has to offer. The adjoining pub has a great atmosphere with excellent food and drinks. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.'

'Pleasant stay …very good room…helpful staff……think could upgrade non cooked breakfast options a little …not too onerous to offer good bread, jams or yoghurt or fruit but evening meals good'

'Lovely hotel in the hills. Great food, lovely staff, very comfortable.'

'The staff was amazing, kind and very hhelpful. The room was okay.'

'Loud. Incredibly loud. First, they gave no indication that the room I was staying in opened directly onto the street. The door lock was strange, perhaps just something I'm not used to, but I struggled with ensuring that it was locked during the night. (I work in a technical field, I'm not dim, but jeez, I felt stupid) Considering people milling around outside the pub at night were quite drunk, shouty, and possessed of questionable decision making, I ended up putting a chair in front of the door...
