'I'm not a fan of the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area to begin with, so that probably effected my ratings. They both try so hard to be the next Branson, and Gatlinburg is just too small of an area for that many people. Also, I discovered when we checked in that the hotel was hosting a high school cheerleading convention. Nearly 1,000 hyperactive teenagers everywhere you went in the property. 'Great location to attractions. We were happy we chose this location over Gatlinburg due to the crazy traffic in the other town. Was nicer to drive to town and be able to walk around the island. The manager was great! She inquired about our stay and heard I wasn’t completely satisfied with the hospitality. 'This hotel was beautiful. The entire staff was helpful and nice, from the valet to the front desk, to the maintenance. They all greeted us throughout our stay even though we didn't use the valet or maintenance. We didn't see a use for the valet because parking was easy.
