'I recently stayed at the Catamaran Resort in San Diego and had a pleasant but mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is fantastic, the grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the private beach access is a wonderful perk that we truly enjoyed. While we had a good time overall, I found the resort to be a bit overpriced for the level of service provided. The property and guest rooms are starting to show their age and could definitely use some updates to justify the premium price point....

'We had a room on the 8th floor which was spacious and clean. We did have some airco noise and weird knocking noise from the elevator shaft (we think) which was annoying at night. Pool was nice and location was good for watersports and running. Restaurant has great staff but menu is limited. The gym was crowded in the morning but really quiet in afternoon.'

'Geweldig uitzicht op pier en oceaan. Strand voor de deur. Kamers zijn mooi ingericht en geluiddicht. Tophotel, waarbij nu eens niet de lobby, maar de kamer zelf fantastisch is. Te vaak is de lobby fraai maar de kamer waardeloos, hier dus niet. Er zit een goed restaurant in het hotel, met uitzicht op zee. Personeel is zeer aardig en efficiënt.'
