« Pros: Very new building/apartment. Kitchen and amenities are great. Rooftop area is nice (great views). Host very responsive. Accessible by bus. Nice to be away from "busier" areas of lower east nice. Cons: Bed a little uncomfortable for two people. 10 minute walk to closest subway. »

« Don’t even think twice: staying in the Green Room will make your time in the city amazing. Follow the helpful instructions to enter the apartment and it is like entering the Emerald City. No really, the pigeons aren’t flying monkeys but the neighborhood is magical. Elegant and thoughtful touches throughout the apartment abound. Like well tended house plants and beautiful woodwork. Walking distance to everything one needs from groceries to CVS to Central Park. Hosts are attentive, responsive,...

« The place was just as advertised, conveniently located, clean and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive, informative and helpful. Would definitely stay here again! »

« No maid service unless you book seven days. Beds super uncomfortable. Understaffed with no help. No services. Worst hotel I ever stayed at and would never go back. »

« I read the mixed reviews and chose Macaw Guesthouse anyway - I am glad that I did. It was a reasonable option in expensive New York City and it was as described. Charming hosts who went out of their way to welcome me and ensure that I was comfortable. Short walk to transportation options and dining options nearby. Highly recommend and would stay again. »
