Hudson Valley: Strandvakanties

I have stayed at Westchester Marriott a number of times over the past 20+ years. This is a reliably excellent facility and operation.

Nice hotel, needs a little updating.

No elevator directly from lobby or close to that takes you to your floor. Instead you get The Shining type maze down steps and through long hallways. I was certain we were going to turn a corner and see twins pedaling towards us on tricycles and knowing my legs would no longer have the strength to flee, I would have to surrender to my fate. There was a point I was disappointed I didn’t meet them. Not a hotel for travelers with significant luggage unless you love struggling through mazes that lead to nowhere. I’m sure had I been placed on the 5th floor (lobby level) my experience would have been better. Instead I was doomed to the 2nd. The room was decent. It was quiet. It was also very dark and secluded.

Place is beautiful but needs some serious TLC!! Got back from our game at 1 am room was very warm. Ac had been set to 68 before we left. Front desk was helpful in finding us a new room and the ac worked a touch better. Get up on morning try to get around to head home. There was no soap in room. Used shampoo to wash. Shower and sink both drained very very slowly. Nothing like standing in your wash water!! Great spot just needs some serious attention!!!
