The Perch is a cozy and modern desert retreat with panoramic views of endless Joshua Trees and the surrounding mountains. This 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin is newly renovated and sits at the top of a desert plateau. Wake up to sweeping desert views, visible straight from your bed. After a day exploring the park, retreat to this oasis to watch the sunset from the hot tub. With an open floor plan and large wrap around deck, this cozy cabin for up to 5 guests is truly the perfect Joshua Tree experience.

This place is a gem! The views are incredible, the inside has everything you need and is very comfortable. The hot tub and fire ring were a couple of extras that helped us choose this rental over the rest and we are so glad we did. Having a fenced in yard is perfect if you have a furry companion. The location is close to town but also far enough away to enjoy the peaceful and beautiful surrounding desert landscape. We will definitely return!

This is a well appointed spot about 10m away from town with a lovely view of the western mountains.Water is limited but adequate. Lovely hot tub. A perfect spot for a romantic getaway for 2.

Joshua Tree getaway

The Perch is indeed perched at the top of a hill with great mountain views and lovely sunsets. It is very clean and provides basic supplies. The bumpy dirt road to get to the top was not in the listing, but was mentioned in the check-in info. We were able to drive it slowly and carefully in our Corolla. We enjoyed exploring Joshua Tree National Park and having this comfortable spot as a home base.

Relaxing and Beautiful

Beautiful property a bit removed from the Main Street of Joshua Tree, so it was perfect to relax and watch the stars on a long weekend. Comfortable furniture, well-stocked kitchen, and fast wi-fi. Check-in was easy and the host was extremely good at communicating quickly. Can’t recommend it enough.

Mark my words….

Definitely a gem of a place, OnE of OnE. It was clean and comfortable, a place to clear your head, find some peace and fall in love all over again. Hard to leave, and come back to the noisy city. Will come back, if the time is right in the future, but make sure to snag this up before it becomes someone else’s reservation for the weekend.

Joshua Tree getaway

This property was perfect for two! Very clean, modern, and had all the kitchen amenities needed. Relaxing in the (actual working) jacuzzi on the back deck in both the AM and PM after full days in the park was an added bonus! We also loved sitting on the deck patio in the rocking chairs admiring the desert views. The bedroom additionally has wonderful views and the bedding and bed both comfortable. Location was a plus both to local stores for anything needed and the west JT park entrance. If you plan on watching TV, don’t. No TV’s which was nice to disconnect for a bit. Bring your own games for game night as there was only one game available at the property. We didn’t use the pull out couch bed but noticed a bit of a sag when sitting on one of the couches for normal use. Not terrible. But just an FYI. I would definitely recommend and revisit for the future.

Great home base for desert solitude

The host Chris made a quick getaway weekend so easy. Incredibly clean and well equipped for everything for cooking, relaxing with a book, napping, star gazing, soaking in the tub, and going in and out for exploring. The background story behind the vision Chris had for this property and made it a reality is inspiring. Felt honored to enjoy what he has put a lot of passion into.

The property is very private, clean, and well-decorated and the host Chris responsive if you have any issues. The views are breathtaking…We loved that we were close to town but that the house was also in a great in the heart of nature location.

Great Joshua Tree Spot

This place was perfect for a week hanging out around the Joshua Tree National Park area. Plenty of privacy off the beaten path with a great deck and hot tub to hang out in/on on those warm days and cool nights. Chris has outfitted the place perfectly with everything you need for a great getaway. We definitely would come back and enjoy this little home.

Much needed weekend

We got there on a Friday night in January and it was SO windy! The windows and doors barely rattled. It was a short drive to get food and supplies. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a meal. No toaster oven but we didn't need it. There were a lot of towels, so we didn't run out. Also, a little plug in heater came in handy every now and then. Love the decoration and wall hangings. It felt true to the local craft. The bed was comfortable and had two choices of pillows: soft and firm. Too cold for the hot tub and we never made it down to the fire pit. A lot of privacy from the neighbors and the dirt road was not an issue even with the snow coverage we experienced. Thank you, Chris!!

Our family had a wonderful time in Chris’s home. The home was lovely. It was nicely decorated and super clean. It had everything we needed. We booked the home at the last moment. Chris was very responsive and attentive. It was a perfect stay. We highly recommend staying here and would come again.
