Holtby itself offers a friendly country pub, a farm shop with café and a Pick Your Own spot within 2 miles, giving you a relaxed village feel after a day exploring the city. If you fancy venturing further, you’re within an hour of Castle Howard, the atmospheric ruins of Kirkham Abbey, the dramatic North York Moors, Dalby Forest, the charming village of Goathland and even the Yorkshire Coast for a classic seaside trip.


Enter into the hallway, a handy space for coats and boots, before stepping into the well-equipped kitchen diner, complete with electric oven, induction hob, slimline dishwasher, microwave, large fridge with icebox and Nespresso coffee machine. Enjoy meals at the farmhouse table after a day of exploring. Step up into the cosy lounge, furnished with a large corner sofa and a wood burner — perfect for relaxing evenings in front of the Smart TV. When it’s time to unwind, head up the steep wooden staircase to the beautifully finished king-size bedroom, offering plenty of storage, original floorboards and a spacious en-suite. The en-suite features a luxurious French bateau bath for long soaks, alongside an impressive walk-in rainfall shower.


To the front of the cottage is a sunny courtyard, a real sun trap and an ideal spot for al fresco dining during the warmer months, with a BBQ available if desired. The property benefits from off-road parking, and guests are welcome to explore the extensive grounds and meet the resident chickens and pigs.
