'Heavily overpriced for the quality you get (on food and beverages). Also paying for beach chairs etc. Hotel is nice and we enjoyed the installation but food and beverages were very basic while all charged on premium rates. Also very high fees to rent beach equipment which in my point of view is outrageous. We have much better experiences in Hawaii concerning that so definitively something to improve. No problem to pay a price but you expect something in return which we didn't feel at all. '

'We were extremely pleased with our stay in AC by Marriott Hotel Honolulu. The hotel is located in a very good location if you are going on a cruise. It was a 20 minutes walk to the pier 2 cruise terminal from hotel. The hotel was not in a congested area. It was a quiet hotel and we got a good nights sleep, The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner got the room cool. The area around hotel and the hotel itself was very clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful. '

'The hotel isn't perfect, but it was perfect for us. It's a little on the older side so everything is outdated but you're in Hawaii for Hawaii, not the hotel room. The pool area WAS renovated so I'd imagine they are working their way up to the rooms. Also, the have a bunch of things you can borrow in the pool area( beach umbrella , beach chairs, etc)The reason for such a high rating is because the staff was top notch, extremely helpful and attentive. Not once did one of our requests meet...
