'Anne and Ral are wonderful hosts. We were welcomed with a decadent gift of homemade cakes and a bottle of Prosecco. The location is secluded and magical- great walks from the cottages. We saw a white buck at the front gate.'

'We had such a lovely time at Acorn cottage, it was absolutely perfect in every way. Communication with Maria throughout super easy and the cottage is stunning, probably one of the most well thought out, well stocked getaways we've stayed at. We did plenty of local walks straight from the cottage and had a few stop offs on the way home in the local pub. We also visited on a pretty wintery weekend so it made the forest and the pub that little bit more festive. We would definitely return.'

'De cottage was groter dan de foto's lieten zien. De woonkamer was eenvoudig ingericht, maar wel praktisch. De serre was snel warm en geschikt om er met open deuren te zitten, ook als het minder mooi weer was. De slaapkamers boven zijn echt ruim en netjes verzorgd. Prima bedden en mooi schoon universeel linnengoed. Heel fijn dat er boven een aparte w.c. was. En ook nog een tweede doucheruimte met wastafel en w.c. 'Goede bedden, de buitenkant doet niet vermoeden dat de cottage nog zoveel ruimte binnen heeft. Tapijt is met hondjes wel wat onhandig maar gelukkig hadden we het weer mee. gastvrij ontvangst en nog bedankt voor de welkomsborrel.'

'auf der Rückreise nach D haben wir einen kurzen Stop bei Dorotheas fewo eingelegt. Das Haus ist funktional eingerichtet und typisch aufgebaut für den Charakter kleinerer Orte im Süden Englands. Die Kommunikation mit Dorothea war unkompliziert, da die Vermieterin direkt im benachbarten Haus wohnt.'

'Do NOT stay at this property - I would go as far to say that I would not stay at any property managed by Henry Adams. There was a large blob of blood, yes blood!, in the crockery drawer right by the plates. Crumbs in the fridge, black mould on the freezer door seal, cobwebs in every room, filthy dirty pole to open roof windows (covered in black dirt), upper floor toilet was leaking, the hairdryer was covered in dirt and the back of its filter was completely clogged and not safe to use, cracked...

'There don't seem to be that many small properties to rent outside of the main villages and towns so if you want to feel a little more in the forest this is perfect. Heath's, woods and Hatchet Pond are all walkable from your door in a few minutes. The house is cosy with a lovely living room and well appointed to kitchen. The hosts were lovely and even left us some wine and chocolates. Recommended.'

'Thoroughly enjoyed the independence that Two Bare Feet gave me Staying in conventional hotels around the country can become a chore. Its location with its five minute walk into the city centre makes it ideal The facilities and cleanliness were second to none. Only thing to let it down is the lack of property parking but overnight parking is around £7.30 a night and is an inconvenience not ideal for everyone. That said I would recommend it and would certainly stay there again Many thanks again...
