'Returning to this historic hotel for a third visit was just as enjoyable as ever. Although my room was smaller this time, it was still beautifully maintained and very comfortable. I was especially grateful to be allowed an early check-in at no extra cost, which made my trip even more relaxing. The food remains outstanding, and the staff continue to provide a genuinely warm, friendly, and helpful service throughout. 'Nice people on the reception offering walking guides just to use as soon as we told we were planning to do some walking in the Lake District. The rooms were spaceous and very clean. In the morning on request freshly baken croissants or oatmeal During the evenings we used the DVD service for free. You can pick one and play a movie in the room.'

'Lovely spot near Grasmere Lake right in the centre of Grasmere. Lots of nice walks nearby. Plenty of pubs/hotels to eat and drink nearby. Would stay here again.'
