The view from porch and patio is blissful. The neighborhood is quiet, but groceries, dining and sightseeing are nearby. Mostly, though, we just love to sit with the river in view, read and talk.'

'We are four adult sisters, 60+. The cabin was comfortable, had everything we needed for a good stay. It’s located right on the water and so convenient to all the sightseeing we wanted to do. I would highly recommend as our stay far exceeded our expectations. '

'We loved our week-long stay in this well-appointed cabin! We woke up to the seagulls every day, took some nice walks in the woods at nearby nature preserves, went to 2 of Maine’s prettiest lighthouses, and enjoyed lots of lobster. The only drawback is that most restaurants are a good drive away and need a bit of planning in the evening. 'I have visited this idyllic spot about 10-12 times, and each time I am reminded of why I love it so much: the feeling of isolation on your own private island, the company of the cheerful small birds, the magnificent osprey family in the tallest tree (their nest is a few feet from the cabin), the view down the lake from the porch and living area, the curtain of trees surrounding the cabin, the warm water for swimming, the calm quiet at night, and the parade of ducks and loons nearby. 'Peaceful and relaxing. A few things would have been nice to know ahead of our trip. Difficult to get to the water to swim. Did not know when trash pick up was scheduled and had to remind owner that it was not picked up. All that being said - it was very enjoyable'
