'The property is incredible and the view is spectacular. Would highly recommend for any size outing. If you want a nice workout, try the Paddy Mountain Trail, a new facility in West Jefferson. The host was very responsive.'

'The house was wonderful as was the host. Perfect size the 2 couples with 2 beds and 2 full bathrooms. Loved that the bedrooms had luggage stands, no suitcases on the floor!The neighborhood was quiet and in walking distance to town, the hill going back to the house may be challenging for some.'

' The location on top of the mountain provided spectacular views and cool mornings even in July. I would suggest putting a medium sized skillet in the house to use with the convection hot plate. The fridge may need checking also. It took most of three days to cool down. Overall this is a great rental which I think was an outstanding value. I would definately stay here again.'

'The surrounding area to the property is gorgeous and has great potential for a nice place to get away; however, the lack of information prior to arriving was a bit of a let down. Firstly, there was no indication before arriving that the place we would be staying at was currently in the process of being remodeled. 'Our family has stayed at quite a few rental properties over the years, but this one tops them all. The location is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, scenic, and the perfect mountain escape. The cabin itself is thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need, which made our stay feel easy and comfortable from start to finish. Communication with the hosts was clear, prompt, and genuinely warm. We truly can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend!'

"One night stay here after staying at their sister hotel in Raleigh. The property itself is fine but no atmosphere compared to Raleigh. Easy parking, clean and comfortable room. Not much to do within walking distance, except a burger takeaway. We tried to walk to a nearby microbrewery. It should've been a 5 minute walk, but we found it impossible to cross the 6-lane highway in front of the motel so gave up and went back to our room. Maybe, as Europeans, we're not used to the American way of driving everywhere, but to visit a brewery, walking would seem a safer option. Pleasant enough motel but not sure we'd return."
