« We so enjoyed our stay at Jim's place. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, and we enjoyed taking canoe and kayak rides on lake Wausau. Jim was an excellent host and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful spot. The views and convenient location cannot be beat! The home was tastefully decorated and there was plenty of space for us to enjoy a very relaxing stay. One of our favorite vacation rentals to date! »

« This place is close in town with a feel of being isolated in the country. It is a very pleasant outdoor setting. Convenient location close to restaurants and shopping. Extremely comfortable beds. »

« My husband and I were looking for a secluded place on water with canoeing, fishing and walking distance to a bar/restaurant. This was perfect! The water was not for swimming but the cabin came stocked with a kayak, canoe, row boat and a paddle boat. The main house was perfect for what we needed - bed to sleep, deck to sit on with our coffee and fully stocked with kitchen, bedding needs. « Needed a shut down after move and all that involves. Just what the doctor ordered. Be sure and stop at Heartbreakers for dinner. The cabin and the surrounding area was all we needed. »

« The property is easily accessible, clean, inviting and comfortable. It is along a two way street but that doesn’t mean there is much noise. It’s a very quiet street. There is a grocery across the street, activity rentals literally a walk in each direction. I visited a cute little garden center and an authentic Wisconsin cheese shoppe. Will try and reserve again next year! »

« This was such a nice place to stay with my family for the long weekend. It had plenty of space for all of us. We loved the view so much. Highly recommend it! »

« We loved the windows, expansive deck and big back yard overlooking the lake! It was a great place to hang out and enjoy time with family. The one downside was the view of the water treatment plant on the other side of the lake. It was a bit loud and kind of an eyesore, although the trees did block that a bit. »

« We had a wonderful weekend! Property is a great place and space to enjoy. Home itself has lot of room and common spaces spacious for being together. Outside deck, fire pit, pier and sand area allowed for lots of options to keep kids busy. Lots of toys and water toys for the kids to ply with. We also enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle boat. It’s in a quiet bay between upper and lower and in close proximity to Wolffs River Inn. Owner is very responsive, kind and accommodating. Highly recommend! »

« Has to be the most well-appointed rentals I’ve experienced with no small detail forgotten. A bit awkward with the one lower room w/ two doubles without a door. And the room upstairs has room for another bed, or larger than a twin to accommodate even more sleepers. But overall, a great property! We’ll be back because our short stay didn’t allow us to fully appreciate the outdoor space! »

« Stayed for a week with my two young kids (6 & 9) and it was perfect. House was very clean and filled with thoughtful amenities that made the stay effortless. Neighborhood was very quiet and felt safe. The house is near-ish the train tracks but we sleep with white noise machines so it was not an issue at all (the host also provided ear plugs, which we didn’t need, but nice to have as an option - again, there were many little details like this which anticipated a lot of needs and questions and...

« This house is absolutely great. It is very clean and had all ammenaties one could want. The location is close to Medford, but out enough to have a serene place to enjoy. I rented the place for myself and 3 friends to hike the Chequamegon Forest part of the Ice Age Trail. Perfect location for us before heading to the woods. Plenty of room and very comfortable beds. I would absolutely recommend this place. The owner was also very responsive and accomodating. »
