'House was in a lovely location. Garden was rustic beautiful sound of frogs in the evening. House comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Owner was helpful to accommodate a later check out. Shame half a toilet roll, and no soap provided. Would rather have had these basics than the local bottle of wine! Especially as had just stayed at another place with the basics including toilet paper soap and cleaning products in addition salt and coffee being provided.'

We loved the simple but perfect renovation of the old house and the courtyard out the back which backs onto a stream into the Dordogne. The owners are meticulous and lovely and friendly. 'Had a great stay in Tayac. A few downsides are the short beds for most Europeans and the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms (only an issue when it is 35 degrees for multiple days in a row), but the rooms 2 were spacious enough for 6 people. All in all a great stay with a spacious garden for our dog or to lie under a tree to get some shade. Also a spacious ground floor with almost all necessary facilities. 'This is a beautiful traditional style French house of the region. It is a bit rustic in places, but absolutely packed with charm and character. The location is amazing - what you see in the photos is exactly how it is. The river is a 60-second walk away with easy access in and out of the water. The village is pretty, quiet and within 10 minutes drive of a E.Leclere supermarket and the main road. The house is spacious, has bags of character, has a fabulous outdoor space with chairs, sun-loungers...

'Cette maison est un parfait mélange de luxe et de rusticité. Des prestations haut de gamme dans le salon, mais pas de poignée à la porte de la chambre, ou des salles de bains un peu passées, mais c'est ce contraste qui la rend incroyable. On sent que c'est une maison familiale, qui permet de se retrouver ensemble autour du billard ou de la piscine, des grandes tables pour les jeux de société au milieu de la nature et des animaux. 'Het hotel was erg goed. De kamers waren netjes en modern. Bovendien kon je radio streamen via de tv, waardoor we Nederlandse radio konden luisteren. Helaas lag het hotel ver van het centrum van Bordeaux af. Wij moesten elke dag een kwartier lopen naar het ov. Even tussendoor naar het hotel is er dus niet bij. Niettemin waren wij zeer tevreden en zouden we het hotel absoluut aanraden; zeker als je een auto hebt.'
