« This house is beautiful. It has the best views. El Castillo is such a cute town, with some of the best food at the shops down the street (and a very good bakery). The house is very close to the lake and Arenal volcano, and about a 30-40 minute drive to the city center where you can do a bunch of different tour activities. The views are incredible! « The property is beautifully situated, comfortable and has everything one needs for a stay. The owners live on site and are very attentive and kind but not intrusive. It was well placed for exploring the Arenal area but be aware that the road from Nuevo Arenal is extremely pot holded and the 8 km takes 35 minutes to drive. »

« We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. « This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. This would be a very fun place for a group of friends as there was a big field to play in, tons of beds, and a big covered communal area to play games.
