We really enjoyed our stay at Catch the Breeze condo with Southern Belle Vacation Rentals. The location was perfect—close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Southern Belle was a wonderful host, responding quickly to any questions or concerns, which made our stay stress-free. The elevator was a huge help for my mom, who uses a walker, and made getting in and out easy.The condo was clean, welcoming, and well-stocked with towels, linens, dishes, and cookware. While the TVs were a bit small, having one in each room was a nice touch. We loved relaxing on the balcony in the evenings.Overall, a lovely stay—we’d happily return on our next trip to Tybee Island!

Perfect location. Nice large rooms. We could walk to dinner and shopping and of course the beach. We had a 2 yr old an 8 month old along with grandma and grandpa so the distances were doable.

Maintenance Issues, Property Unsafe, Dirty & Not as Represented

Property problems not disclosed in listing. If problems had of been disclosed, we would not have booked it! Upon arrival, we tried the elevator only to discover that it was not working! One of our friends isn’t physically able to carry luggage up stairs due to his health! He has had open heart surgery, along with other health issues. We had to walk up the stairs to see the unit. Upon entering, we were hit with a very pungent odor! We then noticed the furniture was dirty, old & worn out. One of the patio doors had a broken lock with the screen door was just hanging there all lopsided. Even though this unit wasn’t street level, we did not feel safe staying there with a broken lock on the patio door. The neighborhood doesn’t look safe, however, it could be. We left & didn’t stay! We all had a headache by the time we left the unit! My husband & I have stayed in several rentals through VRBO. We have been in some with well worn furniture, but, at least the rentals were clean & well maintained. We have never stayed in a property as miss-represented as this place was. I have never given a bad review before, this being the first! This property is managed by Southern Belle. I reached out to them about the condition of the property & spoke with Liz. She was very pleasant to work with. I asked for a full refund. She had to ask the management team who refused to give a full refund, only giving less than 60% back. We were all thoroughly disgusted & disappointed.

Spring Break 2025

Property owner was very quick in responding. The pool is about an 8 minute walk away, down a few blocks. The beach is only 3 minutes away. The condo could use some updating but we are hardly in the condo - we spend most of our time outside. The price of this condo was about the same as paying for a hotel... but we had much more personal space/ kitchen/ etc than being stuck together in a hotel. Condo only had 1 flight of stairs up, so it was easy and quick to get to vehicle / street. Bring your own beach towels / chairs. Quick & easy 8 min walk to downtown & pier. I would stay here again.

Great condo

We stayed here with 6 people for celebration of the New Year & to complete some work in Savannah. The accommodations were spacious & quiet. Definitely would recommend this to anyone. Just steps from the beach, restaurants, & shops downtown.

A Wonderful Place!

We had the most fantastic time in this condo. I have stayed at many places on Tybee and this was my favorite by far! The elevator is a life saver. Spotlessly clean upon arrival. They provided everything we needed (the only thing we didn't It think of was laundry detergent!). My kids slept on the pull out couch and they said it was so comfortable, as were the other beds. It is about a 3 minute walk to the beach and within comfortable walking distance of the best shops and restaurants. We hated to leave! We would absolutely stay again.

Wonderful Condo

We loved the condo from the moment we entered it! It was clean, cool and there were lamps on (which were very helpful since we arrived after dark). Perfect amount of space for our family of 5- there was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable in the dining and living room. It is very conveniently located. It is an easy walk to the beach with small children and close by dining and entertainment. I do wish that the king mattress was updated to a newer more comfortable mattress though. Other than that we have no complaints!

Excellent Stay in Tybee Island

The property was an excellent choice for a stay on Tybee Island, located extremely close (two blocks) north of the main drag of restaurants and bars--plus, the beach was only a five minute walk down the street. The condo was well appointed, and very clean. It had all the amenities you'd need for a comfortable stay, and a surprising amount of space that allowed for everyone to have some personal space to unwind. The hosts were extremely communicative, and only a text message away. I'd highly recommend this rental for anyone looking to stay on Tybee Island.

Tybee trip

The location of this property was perfect for us. Close to the beach, the pier, grocery store, restaurants and golf cart rental. This property did not have a great view but the temps were cool so we didn’t spend a lot of time on the deck. The lock on the main door needs some attention and the one sliding door had a broken lock. The washer was broke and was not fixed until the day before we left so that was really inconvenient, they offered some money back but there were strings attached that we leave a 5 star review. As someone from out of state I depend on honest reviews so I refused the money. I don’t want my review to be bought…! Overall we were happy and would stay at this property again. Great communication from the staff!
