« We had a wonderful time. The house is colorful and filled with whimsical art, which we enjoyed. Very convenient to the town of Murphys, only about 2 miles away. We would definitely stay there again. We would have loved to spend time on the back patio. Unfortunately for us, the week we chose was rainy off and on. Access was easy compared to other experiences we have had. Owner very amicable. »

« Nice property. Good location. Owner is good to work with. Note that it is a 10-15 foot climb (40 stairs) from street level to the front door – some of the climb with no handrails. If you have mobility issues it may be a challenge to get in. One person in our group had to use walking sticks. If accessibility is not an issue for your guests, I definitely recommend this property. »

« My family stayed here for a short weekend. Upon arrival it looked like it had been cleaned however there was hair in both showers, an odd smell in the living room and the rug in the living room looked like it had never been vacuumed. While the cleanliness was off putting, the comfort was worse. The couch was also not clean and the beds were broken, lopsided and extremely uncomfortable. This place needs a one time deep clean, new caulk where there is mold, and new beds/couch and it would be fine....

« we have stayed 4 nights and could stay longer if we had a time. The challet is in a great location, less than an hour from Yosemite valley, Hetch Hetchy dam or Sonora, but in a very quite location at the end of a road. You can get there easily, just go to the end of paved Hells Hollow road and then keep straight on the dirt road until you reach 2111 and the gate. Just drive very slowly on the dirt road especially at the times when is so dry and hot like now as driving fast gets a lot of dust in...

« This was an awesome basecamp for exploring Yosemite. It feels private and wooded but is close to restaurants and shops in Groveland. We didn't get a chance to swim in the nearby lake, but it looks like it would have been great on a warmer weekend. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the deck and cozying up by the fireplace on a rainy evening. Having laundry was a huge plus after long hiking days. »

« We loved the house. Such a great location if wanting to visit Yosemite. Clean and very organized. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook meals. Plenty of room for a big family. Super cute lake right down the street. Would highly recommend. »

« The hostess answered all my questions promptly. The house is located in a very calm and pretty location. Home was comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of towels, sheets, and pillows. We enjoyed the wide selection of games and old movies/videos which we very much enjoyed. »
