Welcome to Touch of Townsend, a warm and inviting Smoky Mountain cabin with three comfortable queen beds, plenty of room to relax, and the perfect blend of authentic cabin character and modern conveniences.
Tucked among mature trees on the peaceful side of the Smokies, the cabin offers an especially convenient location—just 300 feet from the Townsend bike and walking trail and approximately ½ mile from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Whether you’re here to hike, bike, explore Cades Cove, enjoy the Little River, or simply slow down for a few days, Touch of Townsend makes an ideal home base.
Designed for families, couples, and friends, the cabin offers comfortable gathering spaces indoors and out while keeping you close to everything Townsend has to offer.
The Space From the moment you step inside, you’ll notice the cabin’s classic mountain character. Natural log walls, exposed wood beams, vaulted ceilings, and large windows create a warm, open atmosphere while bringing views of the surrounding trees indoors. The open-concept main level brings the living room, kitchen, and dining areas together, making it easy for everyone to spend time together without feeling crowded. The living room features comfortable seating, a television above the fireplace, soaring wood ceilings, and plenty of natural light. Whether you’re enjoying morning coffee, watching a movie, or relaxing by the fire after a day in the mountains, this is the heart of the cabin. The updated kitchen combines modern convenience with the rustic character of the home. It includes a full-size refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, coffee-making area, generous counter space, and bar seating. It’s equally well suited for a quick breakfast before heading into the park or preparing dinner for the whole group. Multiple dining and seating areas give everyone flexibility to gather for meals, enjoy breakfast at the kitchen bar, or spread out for cards and games in the evening.
Sleeping Arrangements Touch of Townsend offers three queen beds, providing comfortable sleeping accommodations for families, couples traveling together, or a group of friends.
The private main-floor bedroom features a queen bed, warm log walls, natural light, and classic cabin charm—a comfortable retreat tucked just off the main living area.
Upstairs, the spacious loft features two additional queen beds, vaulted wood ceilings, windows overlooking the surrounding trees, and an open view down into the main living space. The loft provides plenty of extra sleeping room while maintaining the open, inviting feel of the cabin. The layout allows everyone to stay together while still having separate areas to relax and recharge.
Bathrooms The cabin features updated bathrooms with walk-in showers, modern vanities, and warm finishes that complement the natural wood found throughout the home.
With bathroom space on both levels, mornings and evenings are more convenient when traveling with family or a larger group.
Outdoor Living One of our favorite parts of Touch of Townsend is the outdoor space.
Start your morning on the covered porch with a cup of coffee while enjoying the peaceful wooded surroundings. Multiple porch and deck areas provide plenty of space to sit outside, unwind, and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Fire up the grill for an easy dinner after a day of exploring, then head down to the private outdoor firepit for the evening.
The firepit area features ample seating and warm rope lighting, creating an inviting atmosphere after sunset. Roast marshmallows, make s’mores, enjoy a drink, tell stories, or simply sit beneath the trees and enjoy a quiet Smoky Mountain evening. The ambient lighting makes the firepit an especially relaxing gathering place after dark.
Steps from the Townsend Bike & Walking Trail One of the cabin’s most convenient features is its proximity to the Townsend bike and walking trail—approximately 300 feet away.
The paved trail runs through Townsend and provides an easy way to explore the area by bike or on foot. Guests can enjoy a morning walk, family bike ride, or leisurely trip through town while staying close to the cabin.
The trail connects visitors with many of Townsend’s local attractions, restaurants, river access points, and community areas, making it another great way to experience the peaceful side of the Smokies.
