'I stayed at this hotel for 1 day, nothing special. The wall paper was being renew on my floor. Room was cozy, great hot water and AC was very good. Its about 17 min away from Mystic.'

'It was acceptable. I had an issue with a poor flushing toilet and a non-working mini fridge. My room was located at the far back of the hotel. It needed some work. I won't return on my next visit. They were experiencing issues with tv's far beyond what they mentioned. Very pretty front and lobby, but that's not what my room was.'

If you are looking for 5 star HOTEL, this is not it, but if you want casual, safe, basic & welcoming, this IS it! You are in walking distance to restaurants, beach and very walkable. Very nice!'

'We have been going to Shelter Harbor Inn for decades. After its most recent renovations, the Inn is absolutely beautiful. The design of the inn is lovely. The grounds are stunning. And very importantly, the staff is excellent. There was some confusion re our check in and both the young woman who checked us in (Laci V) and the young woman who checked us out (Laci M) handled the situation perfectly. Sadly, we were only there for one night most recently but we will return.'

'Such a warm and inviting place to stay away from the casino, but still so close. Erica was as sweet as pie and available when needed. The room was spotless and had everything we needed to make it our little home away from home. The careful thought of everything placed in the room that was needed. Things like the coasters on the side tables, the electrical outlets, the mini fridge, the microwave, the coffee maker in the room, the toiletries in the bathroom, even the butt can on the patio. 'Great little old-school motel! circa 1960s? Well maintained for the price, I like the linoleum floors instead of carpet. Close to beaches, thrift and antique stores, Best of all great grounds: a working pool, an artificial waterfall flowing into a small fishpond. Lots of places to sit and relax, alone or with others. Grills and BBQ's around. Big field behind it for frisky pooches like mine. Or even a croquet pitch. Was under some grounds repair, but for the $$ well worth it. Will be back for...
