'Stayed for two weeks in September 2023. For starters, the host family at Talalla Freedom are wonderful. Helpful, friendly, adjusted to my food allergies, went over and beyond. Rs 250 for a pot of fresh tea. The pool is lovely and well kept, the view and access to Talalla beach is phenomenal (as long as you don't have any mobility issues. Beds are Sri Lanka firm but comfy. You can sit in a nice recliner with your tea and watch the monkeys walk by. The birds in the area are beautiful. Be aware...

'Maison à l'écart du centre ville (un petit km de marche pour rejoindre le bus qui se rend à Galle pour une poignée de roupies) et donc calme....Chambre très pratique avec petit frigo et ventilateur et surprise même de l'eau chaude..... Chats et chiens très fatigués et parfois avec 3 pattes.....Petit coin pour jouer au ping-pong.....On a passé 3 nuits et si on avait pas réservé à Negombo la suite on serait resté 2 jours de plus sans souci.... 'Very nice owner and family! Good rooms, with a great and big balcony. Two steps from the road were everything happens, incuding all restaurantes. Near to the beach and if you are lucky you will se some monkeys from balcony. Good value for money! Really a good place, recommed!'

'The hotel is located around the center of the Galle fort, which allow me enjoy spending a whole day inside fort. The staff is kind and friendly.'

'There is not much to do in the direct surroundings of the hotel and therefore you must always take a taxi or tuctuc.. food is excellent, although the waiting time is relatively long. We had a room without sea/pool view big we didn't expect to be overlooking the trashbins.. Staff is very eager to help, would be better if they would be a little more in the background. Everytime we came down three or four staffmembers would come up to ask about your day, if you wanted to dine, if you wanted any...

'This is a lovely historic house presented with style and charm, and high standards. The staff provide the best service and are very attentive. Setting is just gorgeous with visiting shy groups of purple-faced leaf monkeys and peacocks passing through along the high walls and trees from time as you sit in the cool palm filled courtyards. And added, an excellent menu with both traditional and modern mix so well presented and tasty served in a lovely restaurant-bar setting on the deep verandahs. '

'The place is difficult to find, after booking they should send an email with a map to get there. The room is basic but clean. Good size room and bathroom. There is a fan but not a/c and during the night it is quite hot. Only cold water. There is a mosquito net but it is too short so mosquitoes get in the sleeping area. 'Great small hotel that I strongly recommend. Very friendly staff , warm welcome ! Very good breakfast and the room was nicely decorated. This is a very good value for money. We really liked staying at this Small House Boutique Guest House. It is very well located. The streets nearby are so cute and there are many restaurants around.'
