'Great mood, definitely a unique experience with their inhouse bookstore and evening shortfilm presentations. A trendy stay in a traditional city. Great contrast. Rooms are a bit on the smaller side (no closet, no safe, 2 spaces under bed to stow luggage) but comfortable.'

'Fijn hotel op een rustige locatie nabij het park, spoorwegmuseum, aquarium en een treinstation. Family Mart en Starbucks ernaast, top! Ontbijt was heerlijk en uitgebreid. Ik kon een kamer met uitzicht op de stad krijgen tegen extra betaling. Het uitzicht was mooi: Kyoto Tower en Tojoji tempel (?) waren te zien. Strijkijzer en plank op de kamer, wasmachine en droger op de 2e etage: kortom erg fijn. Aanrader! '

'The best value for a hotel and onsen in Kyoto. We loved the restaurant and bathhouse. Nothing better than walking 30k steps and coming back to this hotel to relax in the spacious rooms, hot bath and tea room. Staff is friendly. It's a bit out of the way, and a decent walk from any train station, but the 8 minute walk from station to front door is worth every step. '

'Een heel fijn hotel. We kregen tickets om in de middag een gratis drankje (en wat snacks) te nuttigen in het hotel-restaurant. Top geregeld. Daarnaast fijne kamers, lekker ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel. Het hotel ligt wel wat van Gion/ de hotspots af. De ligging vlak bij het station is echter heel handig en maakt dat je snel met de bus en trein uit de voeten kan. Zou dit hotel zo weer boeken. '

'Hotel is precisely like on picture, clean, neat, modern and very polite staff. The breakfast is kaseki incl. a western buffet. The hotspring is good temperature and also clean and modern. It was really nice staying at Hatoya Zuihokaku, I would want to go there again for next time.'
