'The staff was very accomdating and helpful. It is a great location. Near all transportation and food options'

'This place is worth the splurge! It's beautifully hidden and away from the main street, making it feel like you're stepping into historical Kyoto. It's a cozy apartment that has luxury, modern amenities, like an open air bath, great bedrooms (both western and traditional) and lovely rain-style shower, and a minimalistic living room. We only stayed one night, but we will plan to stay at least two to three next time!'

'Great place for families!'

'Location was great. Close to transport and a selection of terrific restaurants. Genuine Japan 'feel' about the premise.'

'Room was clean and user friendly. It is small but that’s to be expected as it’s a traditional Ryokan'

'When you arrive, you’re welcomed with a cup of tea and some treats. The entrance hall is very luxurious. There is also a bar with complimentary coffee, tea, wine, and sake. The staff are very friendly. The room is spacious, and the toilet and shower are separate, which is very convenient. There is also an excellent washing machine in the room. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it.'

'Prachtige kamer en mooi modern hotel op 3 minuten lopen van metrohalte. Mooie publieke onsen die erg rustig was en groot. Geen kastruimte en 2 kleine laatjes, onhandig voor 4 nachten. Uitstekende keuken, maar personeel in horeca gedeelte niet erg professioneel, stak schril af bij personeel aan receptie.'

'Amazing, highly reccommended!'

'Very nice hotel, good location and excellent breakfast. We liked to use the lounge in the evening where free drinks are available.'

'One of the best experience in Japan, very kind and lovely staff, very helpful, and excellent service!! Please don’t be put off by the location, it’s not very far from metro station. Rooms are very spacious for Japan!! Will happily stay again if we are in Kyoto!'

'The hotel staff were all nice. They are very friendly and helpful. It is well maintained because it is a small hotel . The room was spacious and nicely decorated. I would stay again .'

'Kleinschalig hotel/appartement met grote kamers en alle voorzieningen. Vriendelijk ontvangst, ontbijt werd op de kamer bezorgd en was erg lekker ( elke dag ietsje anders). Vlakbij metro en de drukke stad op loopafstand. Zeker de moeite waard.'

'Great location to hop on to subway station 2 mins away whilst Nijo Castle and even Pontochio Alley were 20-25mins away. The room was Spacious (Corner Room with balcony 50 sqm) that I would highly recommend for couple with one child - we were sharing on triple basis. Kyoto station was 2/3 stops away for day hopping to Osaka and easily to other great Kyoto spots.'

'Goede, maar kleine kamer Uitstekende ligging Prima ontbijt'

'This quaint hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and rooms were a good size. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Kyoto. It was a short walk to Nishiki market and had tons of local restaurants near it too.'

'Super nice hotel in the citycenter but close to public transportation. Great friendly staff.'

'De kamer was schoon, locatie van het hotel zeer goed, erg centraal en de lobby met drankjes en broodjes die de hele dag beschikbaar waren was een leuke extra!'

'Loved the clean room, wonderful lobby and work area as well as gym'
