Firstly, there was no indication before arriving that the place we would be staying at was currently in the process of being remodeled. 'Alpine Ridge was absolutely perfect! Every area that we checked out inside and out was met with a WOW! The layout of the house is such that you could all gather together or find your own private spot to read or have some private chill out time. "One night stay here after staying at their sister hotel in Raleigh. The property itself is fine but no atmosphere compared to Raleigh. Easy parking, clean and comfortable room. Not much to do within walking distance, except a burger takeaway. We tried to walk to a nearby microbrewery. It should've been a 5 minute walk, but we found it impossible to cross the 6-lane highway in front of the motel so gave up and went back to our room. Maybe, as Europeans, we're not used to the American way of driving everywhere, but to visit a brewery, walking would seem a safer option. Pleasant enough motel but not sure we'd return."
