Enjoy a small gated backyard area in the back of the property. We have great restaurants, cafes and nearby gems in the ever changing Bergen-Lafayette. Enjoy vintage coffee at the Grind Shop or treat yourself to fresh seafood at Hooked JC, both located on Communipaw Ave. Make sure to visit the many restaurants on Grove Street in Downtown Jersey City (right by Grove St PATH Station). If you are a fan of Mexican food, you have to come to Taqueria Downtown - a local favorite for authentic Mexican cuisine and a 7 minute drive from the apartment.

Bergen-Lafayette is an urban neighborhood offering a diverse mix of residents, sights, and activities. This is a decent neighborhood and is generally safe. Please remember you are in Jersey City, not all of its streets are lined with charming brownstones and upscale restaurants. Some blocks, like ours, will give you extra entertainment in the form of the occasional loud boombox or kids playing lively games of hide and seek on the street.

Uber is very popular in Jersey City, and a ride between the apartment and the PATH station at Exchange Place in Downtown won't cost more than $10. They will take a group of 4 people, which means your cost per-person will be lower than the $2.5 light rail ticket.
