'This is a spectacular property overlooking the tidal Benjamin River, seen through the huge windows in the livingroom as well as from a nice outdoor deck, patios and expansive lawn with Adirondack chairs. The beds were super comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, and it was very convenient to get to Deer Isle, Blue Hill and all the other nearby towns. Highly recommended!'

'The location alone is a wonderful reason to rent this place - so close to Beal’s, we ate there twice, and a lovely neighborhood for walking, with town just steps away. But on top of that, it was a good and comfortable home base for exploring the area. We had all we needed, and loved that we could stay with our dog. '

'I found this property to be very average, despite being in Camden. Everyone else keeps their properties looking nice on the outside with flowers and manicured lawns. There are large flower pots at this place that had old sponge forms in them but with no flowers. There are weeds growing on the foregrounds. Not sure why they call it a hotel. No one attends it. 'Everything was seamless about checking-in and out. Everything you could possibly think of is available for your use. You literally just need food and clothing. I wish there was AC, but my partner liked it warm. It did cool down late at night and there was a window fan to help. The owner put in a lot of thought in creating a peaceful stay. It was close enough to town to the local restaurants and activities. '

"Honestly, we really wanted to give a 5 star review, just because Marc was such a great host. But all in all our experience was a bit disappointing - considering what we paid. We had booked a cottage but it was actually a room in a cottage with several other rooms in it. The room itself did not offer the right value for money. It was clean and the bed was great, but everything else felt and looked tired and worn. The curtains looked like they hadn't been replaced since the 90s. There was no microwave or fridge in the room. There was a coffee maker but no condiments to go with it. Camden is a charming place to stay and the High Tide Inn is right on the ocean shore, which probably explains the rates. But if Marc wants to make this place work, he needs to do some work on the place. "
