The condo is located in the Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina complex. Building A has a great beach with nearby volleyball court, lounge seating for sunning and tanning, and shady areas. Plus, you are just steps away from some terrific dining options including the fine dining upscale Sea Salt restaurant located above the casual Sapphire Beach Bar for food and drinks, the Paradise Pie for pizza, and the Beach Buzz coffee shop for great lattes, espressos, etc. as well as breakfast items and yogurt bar.

The Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina complex has full-service generators for each building. So, if the power on the island happens to go out (which occasionally happens on the island), you will still be living in luxury with full power in your condo!

Your view from the condo faces north toward Jost Van Dyke and the beach offers great soft sand water access. There is a convenient watercraft rental facility within steps of your condo. The condo is best suited for two people, but can accommodate up to four people comfortably with a queen sized memory foam mattress pullout sofa bed in the living room area. Offering a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, an outdoor grill, and scenic alfresco dining on the patio for four or indoor dining area, this suite is perfect for those who want to enjoy some or all of their meals "at home".

If you are a cat lover, you will be in heaven with the neighborhood outdoor kitties "Baby" and "Nutmeg" to greet you. You can follow them @SapphireBeachBaby. Meow Mix and Temptations treats are provided if you think they are hungry (which is always!)

Also, we are big advocates of the island's Pets With Wings program run by the St. Thomas Humane Society. They transport hundreds of puppies and kitties off the island to rescue partners in the U.S. They are the only shelter on the island, and you can save a "fur baby" from living its life in a cage by helping to transport. It is free to transport, and there is no inconvenience to the traveler. If you are interested, we will help make the arrangements with the shelter while you are here.

The beaches at Sapphire offer lots of natural wildlife on land (iguanas, chickens, roosters, and ducks), sea (snorkeling you won't believe - masks, snorkels and fins supplied in condo - featuring dozens of varieties of colorful tropical fish as well as the occasional sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, southern rays, squid, octopus, and eel) and air (pelicans, egrets, blue herons, gulls, and frigatebirds).

Guests may also choose to enjoy the beautiful split-level pool adjacent to building C&D. Token operated laundry facilities are available at the nearby marina office near building E. The marina is also near building E where guests may book sport and deep-sea fishing, sightseeing, parasailing, wave runner rentals and snorkeling excursions. You can even watch for the incoming fishing boats and buy some fresh catch from the crew who will clean and filet it for you right on the dock - it doesn't get any fresher than that!

We live on island, and we are always available within minutes to assist with any questions or if you feel anything needs our attention during your visit. And we love to provide our guests with those special "personal touches", so just ask us if you have any requests. If we happen to be off the island while you are here, we have a local representative nearby who can attend to anything while you are here. We provide plenty of linens and towels, but if you would like a mid-visit towel exchange service, it can be arranged for an additional nominal fee.

The restaurants at Sapphire Beach Resort include Sapphire Beach Bar steps from your condo near the dive shop by Building A with lunch items and your favorite island drinks, the Paradise Pie pizza restaurant right next to it, and Beach Buzz coffee shop for breakfast items. And Sea Salt, the island's best fine dining restaurant with wonderful views of Sapphire Beach located above the Beach Bar. Plus, there is another restaurant within walking distance called Sudi's Caribbean Bar & Grill open for breakfast lunch and dinner in the neighboring condo complex. And the condo is less than a mile from Red Hook where you can enjoy numerous great restaurants and bars. Other services in Red Hook include a harbor where you can catch ferries to other islands, markets and a pharmacy for food and necessities shopping, mail services, nail salons, coffee and cappuccino stand, a fitness center which sells day-passes, and more. Other beaches and restaurants on the island are convenient as well since St. Thomas is only 13 miles long.

Free parking (unpaved) at Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina is available with 24-hour security if you rent a car. If not, taxicabs are readily available in the yellow hut at the complex right outside building A. There are open air safaris that travel limited specific predetermined routes offering fares starting as low as $1 per person per way.
