The cottage was cute and nice. However, we would not stay there again.
The owner came each day to feed cats in the backyard. All in all, that was at least an hour long process each day and she would show up unannounced, sometimes staying to prune trees and bushes around the property. There were also lots of notes around the house from the owner with "do's and don'ts" that just seemed over the top. Towels were old and scratchy, coffee mugs were stained from use, there were no bath rugs, just rubber mats to step on after a shower. Those are simple things that would make a big difference if updated.
When we go away, we want to stay somewhere that feels like our home away from home. Unfortunately, this felt exactly like we were a guest in someone's home rather than having a space to call our own for a few days. This might not be a deal-breaker for some people, but for us it was.
On a positive note, the king bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioning cooled the place perfectly. The back porch was screened in and very comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and thoroughly enjoyed the location. Easy to ride bikes wherever we wanted to go.
