This 5 star-rated Lavender Hill Ranch is a magical & serene hill top ranch, located high on a beautiful knoll on 7 acres. This magnificent nearly 3700 + square foot estate offers sweeping, dramatic views of the Santa Ynez mountains and valley and sleeps 12.. Located very close to all three towns (5 minutes or so), the Grande Dame of Santa Ynez Valley, Lavender Hill Ranch is one of the Santa Ynez Valley's most magnificent vacation ranches. Known for its spaciousness, luxury and serene setting and views, you will never feel cramped and will enjoy all the surrounding nature of the ranch.

This contemporary country manor is European inspired, with relaxed charm and elegance, recently remodeled. The home has a nice BBQ, strong Wifi, Cable TV, games, yoga mats, a fully stocked new kitchen and a hot tub overlooking the mountain views.

The Home is retreat-like yet close to town, with only a 5-7 minute drive to 50+ wineries, golf, hiking, horseback riding, shopping and fine dining. With relaxed elegance, spending time at Lavender Hill Ranch will help you restore and renew. The Ranch boasts spacious, sunny rooms with large remodeled bathrooms. All beds have new luxury mattresses and we use mostly 100% fine cotton linens and sheets. **For short term stays under 30 days, 6 adults 6 kids max with access to 3 bedrooms. The lawns and gardens overlook stunning high vistas with many outdoor serene and quiet seating areas.

The house is made for entertaining. Each room is sunny, with lots of windows, has expansive mountain, valley or garden views and is tastefully decorated with new carpeting, linens and furniture. The spacious kitchen is fully stocked with new appliances, extensive cookware and lots of dishes. It has an open bar area with barstools as part of the family room with breath taking views of the valley and mountains. The formal dining room has a large mahogany table seating 10+ and a large serving buffet with beautiful panoramic mountain views. Both the family room and large living rooms have comfortable couches, beautiful hickory flooring and gorgeous new carpets and area rugs, featured with banks of tall windows capturing the gorgeous scenery. There is a piano for your enjoyment, yoga mats, reading library, cable TV, strong WiFi and a variety of indoor/outdoor games such as bocce ball, croquet, bag toss, badminton....scrabble, jenga and more.

Bedroom 1: The master suite is a large sunny room with lots of windows, seating area in front of a bay window of roses looking over mountains and has a new Cal King bed with a view of a stunning backdrop of dramatic mountains. Its bathroom is huge with a large, oversized tub and a large separate shower.

Bedroom 2, The Cape Room, is a sunny large room with white berber carpets, has a queen bed, a full bathroom and overlooks the front of the house and gardens. It has its own private full bathroom.

The 3rd bedroom, has two twin beds and a private door out to the back yard and hot tub area. It has sweeping views of the mountains and valleys. It shares the bathroom down the hall with the Blue Room. This room is not available for short term rentals.

The 4th bedroom is The Blue Sky Room, a spacious room with a Cal king bed, walled with a bank of large windows overlooking the Santa Ynez valley, Figueroa mountains, and garden. It has a desk, large closet, king bed and a seating are overlooking amazing views. It uses a full bathroom down the hall. The 5th bedroom is a double bed that shares the master bath and the sixth bedroom is upstairs with a queen bed, a twin and a full bathroom.

EXTRA FUTONS: We provide two additional, double bed comfy futons that sleep two in the front hall closets for additional bedding, made up with sheets, pillows and blankets. Please do not sleep on our couches. The futons can be placed in any room you like and have freshly cleaned blankets, sheets.

This magnificent house is so peaceful with its gorgeous landscape, views and spaciousness. You will feel relaxed and restored after only a few hours at the Ranch. There is a hot tub overlooking mountain views and the valley.

**** Sorry, ABSOLUTELY NO WEDDINGS, RECEPTIONS, LARGE PARTIES OR EVENTS. No PETS-FIRM. NO smoking Anywhere outside or on premises. A non negotiable rental agreement is required for you to sign as part of your booking process. You may not bring any audio sound equipment, no speakers or loud musical instruments and no fires, fire tables or candles are allowed. There is no washer or dryer except for weekly rentals or longer. You agree to meet us at the door between 1-5 pm for checkin and no later. Check in may be later (2:30 pm) if another guest is checking out that same day. *Check out time is 10:15 am but can be later with prior permission if no guests are coming in the same day. For stays under 30 days, 6 adults 6 kids max. The owner may be living on the property and will not interfere with guests' privacy. Kids are welcome although the house is not child proof as there are no child safety locks or baby gates here :) House is not ADA compliant.

Emotional support or service dogs: The owner of the service dog must submit documentation from a licensed doctor who will be interviewed by the owner. Because this home is a pet-free and pet-allergy free home that we share with guests who seek the same, the dog owner also agrees to pay for the cost to have all carpets in the home (representing about 2500 sq ft) professionally cleaned and shampooed by a carpet cleaning agency and freed from pet dander and flea eggs within 5 days of their vacating the premises in order to maintain our status as a pet free, dander-free home. An extra charge for the rug shampooing will be charged accordingly, usually around $800.00 or more.

It is a daunting task to turn over your home to strangers so we are strict about the rules, and as a result, we never have had any issues over the last 8 years. ;) We know you will enjoy the peace and serenity of the Ranch, as well as all that the Santa Ynez Valley offers ;)
