Hôtel près de Slaughterhouse Island (Lakehead)

« We stayed in the Woodpecker room and enjoyed having the jet bath. There's a loud hum through the wall next to the bed from the air conditioning unit just outside the room, which could bother some people, but we thought it was like white noise. The bed was very comfortable, but there were only two standard pillows for a king size bed. Luckily, we brought our own pillows so that wasn't a big deal. We were surprised at the lack of some amenities, like glasses in the bathroom for brushing your teeth...

« We had our dog and stayed in a room on the second floor near the flagpole/main entrance to parking lot. We were near a stairway and door outside - making dog walks easy. The room was clean but there was the overwhelming chemical odor when entering for the first time - we had the a/c fan going to try to air it out. The a/c unit was loud - as typical. We decided to turn it off to sleep - but the highway noise picked up in the early hours making it difficult. Breakfast ends at 9:30 am -...

« I love this place. There are only 3 or 4 cabins, or rooms, to each structure. And, there are about 3 different building structures. Each row of cabins are wood construction. It reminds me of summer camp. Each section is distanced from the other ones, and they wind around the large property. There are many trees and it feels like you are in the woods. There is a great fenced in pool and a gazebo. On my first stay there was a group enjoying the pool, but I didn't see one other person on my...

« Overall it’s so so, but very noisy, I can hear the noise from road through the wall the whole night, looks like no insulation at all. There is an AC on that wall, also possible that they didn’t seal it completely. »
