Negatief: Netheid, staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
First, we couldn’t get into the room because we didn’t know you had to push the handle up, not down, like a normal handle. We thought someone was in the room, so we had to go back down and get the desk clerk to see why we couldn’t get in. They should tell their guests, you have to push the handle up.
There is no elevator and you have to carry everything upstairs.
The dead bolt in the room would not lock securely into place.
There was dirt around the beds and an old chicken nugget on the floor from previous guests.
The bathroom door would not shut and latch properly except with great force; you practically had to slam it, which was very loud and I’m sure disturbed other guests.
The toilet would make a screaming noise for a full minute after being flushed. Again, extremely loud and disturbing. We could not flush the toilet during the night because it would have woken everyone up.
The water never did get hot, so I had to take a lukewarm shower.
The bedding had an overpowering smell of strong scented laundry detergent. I am sensitive to strong smelling detergents and it gave me a headache while trying to sleep.
We did not stay for breakfast; just got up early and left. We will not stay at a Day’s Inn ever again.
