Our group was 11 returned Peace Corps volunteers and several spouses to celebrate a reunion. The place had a great open spaced kitchen area/lounge on the main floor where we spent most of our time. The deck was great for morning coffee conversations and the hot tub for evening conversations also located on the deck. Highly recommend Pinnacle View to any large groups needing a place near the Smokies to relax after a long day
A big place away from any nearby others. Yes, the driveway is very very steep and the facility needs some TLC before it becomes a not nice place. Highly recommend it. We had 25 adults and kids but the 14 bedrooms including bunk rooms was more than adequate.
The property felt neglected from the time we set foot inside. As it turned out, we left a day early due to severe leaks that made the property unihabitable.
Beautiful view and lots of good family time, but lots of disappointing factors.
Not happy with the game room - shuffleboard not working + two video games. Sporadic working of WIFI. Most plugs terribly loose or not working. And, worst of all, a leaking room where my grandson stayed leaked both nights when it rained, causing him to lose about two hours of sleep each time. Almost all of the TV remotes non-working due to dead batteries. And, I was really disappointed that there was no ADA bathroom, so I could not shower. I think that I should be monetarily compensated for all these disappointing factors. I sincerely hope that I hear something in this regard.
We had a family reunion and there were 44 of us. It was wonderful to find a house that could fit us all. The view from the back deck is absolutely stunning! Many would sit out in the morning and evening to enjoy it. The kids loved the game room, and the kitchen had plenty of silverware and plates for that large of a group, though we brought paper plates to make life easier. There were a few negatives: the hot tub did not get above body temperature, so not very hot, and there is a large gravel hole dug out for a pool that is to come that was not fenced off, so had to make sure kids didn't get near it, or the guys grilling meat didn't accidentally step back too far and fall in. One microwave was out of order, but we did fine with just one. Other than that, the AC worked great and no other issues. Beds were comfortable. We managed to park 13 cars in the lot without blocking anyone in. The drive is steep, but everyone got used to it. It was a little scary the first time up and down, and we were a little worried after reading reviews, but just put it in 2nd gear and you shouldn't have any trouble. Walmart even delivered groceries to us the first day and acted like it was no problem. The size of the house and the amazing view were definitely the highlights. We would definitely return!
We had an amazing time, the cabin was beautiful . The last day there it rained and it was impossible for three of our vehicles toget up the long drive. That was our only issue,.
The cabin is large, and very spacious . The lay out is very good for large groups. The bedroom spaces is very good. The biggest thing I could point out is the kitchen is very run down. It has been a very long time since pictures were taken. The refrigerator on the left didn't work. Over all the space is great but the furnishings all so old and cabinets ran down. The large tables are wobbly and seats are also. There are chairs missing. The furniture in the upstairs media room but very hard to sit in. Again very old and broken down, springs and so forth. The floors were sticky all througout the kitchen and dining area and we had not used it at all yet. Again, the amount of space is obviously great but needs some work.
This house was exactly as shown and is located close to all the major attractions in the area. Be aware that the driveway is very steepâŠyou would need a four wheel drive if itâs icy.
