Our family enjoyed our stay. We were very comfortable and it felt like home.We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary & our oldest sonâs 40th birthday. The cabin is convenient to restaurants, Dollywood and Gatlinburg We will be back!!
Stayed at this home for a week while playing in a youth baseball tournament, the location was perfect. Our boys loved the pool table, air hockey, arcade games and foosball. The house was well equipped, some items a bit worn but everything was just fine. An outdoor fire pit was probably about the only thing we really missed, but some friends staying next door had a nice one so we spent evenings enjoying fires and sâmores at their place. If coming back to the area, would consider this neighborhood again, so close and convenient to Pigeon Forge.
From the time we walked in (which took multiple tries to get in due to a loose keypad/door handle) of this cabin on our long overdue family vacation. We had multiple issues. From the toilet being plugged and unusable in one of the bathrooms. To find food and wrappers under multiple beds as well as food on the stairs. The hot tub was old, pool table, air hockey table and other games were broken. And the issues continued as the week progressed. The internet kept going up and down while we were there. Which made using the movie room unavailable. When we contacted the homeowners, they were unaware of where the cable box was even located in the property. But the straw that broke this momâs back was when I was making the bed one morning and found someone elseâs (prior guest) pjâs in the bed that I had been sleeping in for a couple of days. When I reached out to the homeowners with all these issues, they offered us a discount at one of their other locations. And if that wouldnât work, they offered some compensation. They asked us to name an amount. When I reached back out with the amount withing 24hours, they ghosted us. I ended up going back through VRBO to file a complaint. When VRBO got involved, the homeowners denied ever offering us compensation. Luckily, I had all the text messages and call logs to show that we had talked. I would just never rent from this couple (Vicky & Brian Topping) again or their business Vista Cabin Rentals.
For Christmas we do memories instead of presents!!! This year we picked the mountains! This cabin was exactly what we needed!!!! I have a family of 15. (7 kids ages 2 to 11) and 6 adult kids and my husband and I. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed! Communication with Brian and Vicky was spot on, they are very welcoming and made sure we were having a great time and there was no issues!!!The cabin is beautiful!!!!! Thank you so much for a great family vacation!!!
The property is absolutely beautiful and offers a beautiful scenery. Vicky was amazing and so accommodating. Definitely recommend this property to any family looking for a Smokey mountain destination
This house is well located, about 15 minutes to Dollywood. Well-furnished and clean. We enjoyed all the games & amenities, although some are showing a little age. There were 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 1-9) in our party, and there was plenty of space for everyone.
Location was fine and house was clean. All the household amenities, eg linens, towels, silverware, etc were bargain basement and games, eg pool table, air hockey, etc were cheap and clunky. There were also numerous, âdonât do this or there will be a fee signs aroundâ, and lastly, although there was not a pet fee indicated on the âpet friendlyâ listing, we were aggressively charged a pet fee as if we had done something wrong. Probably better options for your money.
We had a great time. The property is as advertised. The movie theatre, game room and jacuzzi provided hours of fun. The location was great, 10 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 15 minutes from Gatlinburg. For pizza lovers, Papa Leoneâs pizzeria delivers excellent pizza.
We come to PF/Gatlinburg annually for our family Mardi Gras trip. This cabin was by far our favorite! The floor plan was amazing and so much better than most that we have stayed in. Cleanliness was top notch (and as a lifetime hotel executive, Iâm particular!) Vicky had amazing communication throughout and answered any questions we had almost instantly. She even went as far as texting us to inform us about the fires across town! We are so excited to stay again!
Wonderful from start to finish great communication with the owners house was so much fun the kids more than enjoyed. It canât wait to come back again.
Nice place, kitchen really nicely equipped. Property manager was great. Minor cleaning issues but overall a nice place and would stay again. Thanks Vicky and Brian.
The area was beautiful. From the cabins to the mountains, just beautiful. The leaves were starting to change and our trial hike nearby was awesome. Short trip to Dollywood was great for the kids, I donât think they had a chance to ask if we were there yet lol. It was that shirt of a trip. Snagged up some yummy drinks at the distillery too!
Really enjoyed the location and the views. House was a nice size.. especially enjoyed the theater.
The house is not new and there were a few things that need fixed. I did reach out to the property manager the first day and did not hear from him again. The items I called about were not emergent so we just dealt with it. Kitchen needs a few more items like towels etc.. overall it was a good stay , could be an amazing home with a few minor repairs and updates.
This house has potential but is not very well maintained or managed. First the positives. The house is a great size for a larger group of people. The views are very nice, the neighborhood is quiet, and the house is close to things to do.
Now the negatives. Overall the biggest issue is the cleanliness. The surfaces and floors are swept and cleaned, but that is it. On virtually every surface above a personâs head there is a thick layer of dust and cobwebs.
The other major problem was the mold and musty smell. The minute you walk in the house there is a strong musty smell. Many of the bathrooms had mold growing around the top trim, which the owners did address and had cleaned the same day. But our group should never have had to note this problem to the owners. The house should be fully cleaned, especially since there is a $295 cleaning fee.
Lastly, the small things: the sound system in the media room was not connected properly and even after letting the owner know, it was not fixed. The media room also had fairly damaged walls and not all of the chairs reclined. The pots and pans are so damaged we had to buy our own to cook during the trip. The knives are so dull they canât even cut an apple. The towels are worn and feel like sandpaper. We found several dirty dishes in the cabinets and drawers. Many of the walls need fixing and the carpets are pretty worn.
I would not recommend staying at this property, which is a shame because the house has potential.
We really enjoyed our week in this cabin during our first visit to the Great Smoky Mountains. The location was perfect, halfway between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, situated in a quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room for our 8-person family and our dog, large kitchen, lovely deck with stunning views. The only criticism would be the cleanliness of the bathtubs/showers
We were overly happy with the place. Beautiful places, amenities were great and response from the hosts were always quick and informative. Will be happy to stay again !
